Military and civilian personnel working on defense installations increasingly are looking for broadband wireless access. The issue is the complexity of the environment. On any given day, users might be working anywhere from base housing or command posts to training areas, warehouses or flight lines. In this panel, representative from the Army and Air Force will discuss strategies for extending access to wherever end-users go—without compromising on performance or security.

 

When it comes to delivering mobility and broadband access on military bases, partnership with industry is essential. In this session, representatives from AT&T, Milestone Communications, T-Mobile and Verizon will weigh in on questions related both to technology and government policy. What issues are making it difficult for the military to fully leverage broadband and what steps might be taken to deliver more effective services?

The devastating hurricanes in Houston, Florida and Puerto Rico highlighted the unique technical challenges that go into disaster recovery and relief efforts.
