AFCEA DC September Virtual Event
Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2): The Path Forward.
The Department of Defense (DoD) is focused on building a modern, innovative joint armed force equipped to defend our nation and national security interests around the world. The FY21 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) accelerates innovation so the armed forces can compete effectively and regain comparative advantage over adversaries. Aligning with FY21 NDAA priorities, AFCEA DC’s overarching theme for our Virtual Event Series 2020-2021 is A Common Defense: Modern. Innovative. Joint. Throughout the year, we will explore how the DoD and the military services can accelerate innovation across acquisition, policy, technology, and workforce strategies. To kickoff the Virtual Event Series our first event will focus on how the DoD can successfully implement Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), one of the Joint Chief of Staff's top priorities for future warfare.
JADC2 applications will connect distributed sensors, weapon systems (shooters), and data from all warfighting domains--cyber, space, air, ground, and sea--to all forces. The development of a data infrastructure will be critical to the success of JADC2. The U.S. Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) is now the leading technical solution for JADC2. But will other military services accept ABMS as the starting point for JADC2 and begin developing and fielding compatible technology? DOD thought leaders will discuss the technology, organizational, policy and strategy requirements that must be in place for the successful establishment of JADC2.
Please join AFCEA DC for a virtual symposium on September 10, 2020 to see and hear from DoD and industry experts that are working to pave a path for JADC2 deployment.
