Army Luncheon

The U.S. Army, determined to uphold the mandate of its enduring motto, “This We’ll Defend,” is waging a sustained campaign to build robust, modernized IT infrastructures. The Army of Washington, Grant, Sherman, and Marshall is upgrading its digital capabilities and operations  to meet the challenges – and seize the opportunities – arising from state-sponsored cyberthreats, digital battlefields, expanding cloud networks, emerging artificial intelligence applications and growing use of edge computing.

Ever seeking to minimize risk in the pursuit of mission attainment, today‘s Army is seizing the strategic high ground and arming itself with advanced IT weaponry. Operating from the secure environment of advanced cloud networks, the Army is developing new digital tools using DevSecOps methods that are safe, fast and efficient. The goal is to standardize delivery of capabilities to warfighters and use data to tactical advantage, thereby providing an advantage to men and women operating at the point of the spear, digital or otherwise.

Join AFCEA DC on February 9, 2022, to hear Army leaders discuss the service’s campaign to gain a strategic advantage in the cloud and use data in ways that provide warfighters a decisive advantage.
