Networks - The Move to Simplicity

The U.S. Army is moving towards a Common Operating Environment standards-based architecture to allow rapid integration of new IT solutions while consolidating data systems and maximizing interoperability and security between networks. DISA’s goal is a software-defined enterprise, one that supports a high degree of automation and synchronization across networks. While the Department of Defense Joint Information Environment (JIE) seeks to keep data inside a protected environment through 49 joint regional security stacks (JRSS) which act as gateways to the defense network, what does this mean for joint operations as well as DOD industry partners?
On September 14, please join AFCEA Washington, DC Chapter, IT and network leaders across the DOD and military services and more than 200 industry partners to discuss how to simplify the integration of common IP protocols across defense networks, the role of software-defined enterprise and the impacts of big data and analytics and artificial intelligence on mission and operation success to the warfighter.
